Rodrigo y Gabriela

Rodrigo y Gabriela (Rodrigo and Gabriela) are a guitar duo, originally from Mexico, but now based in Dublin, Ireland, who play music that spans genres, including nuevo folk, rock and heavy metal. There influences include bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Testament and Overkill.

Rodrigo y Gabriela's self-titled debut album was release in 2006, with subsequent releases consisting mainly of unaccompanied duets. Exceptions to this include a few guest appearances on a small number of songs and the 2011 album, Area 52, which was done in collaboration with C.U.B.A., a 13-piece Cuban orchestra.
