Joe Satriani

Joe Satriani is an American instrumental rock guitarist. He started out teaching guitar, with a number of his former students going on to become famous musicians themselves. These include, Steve Vai, Larry LaLonde, Rick Hunolt, Kirk Hammett, Andy Timmons, Charlie Hunter, Kevin Cadogan and Alex Skolnick.

As well as releasing numerous solo albums, he has also played guitar in a number of bands, including, the lead guitarist for Mick Jagger in his first solo tour, as well as touring with the band Deep Purple in 1984. He has also worked with numerous artists through the G3 tour, which he founded in 1995 and is currently the lead guitarist in the supergroup Chickenfoot.
